Commitment to excellence in research is the foundation of Institute of Life Sciences (ILS).

The Institute of Life Sciences is a newly started not-for-profit organization in Hyderabad, India formed through the partnership of private industry, Andhra Pradesh State Government and University of Hyderabad. The institute will operate as an autonomous body and will pursue research in relevant areas of chemical and biological sciences in order to understand the molecular mechanisms involved in chosen diseases and translate this understanding into approaches for discovering novel therapies.

ILS has created a state-of-the-art research center within the campus of University of Hyderabad.

Innovation is the spirit of ILS and its formation. Even with an amazing advancement of sciences, there is still a lot to be done as far as human health is concerned. We see so many unmet medical needs, that are to be addressed. With this backdrop, ILS readies itself to pursue scientific research with a purpose and find solutions to better human health.
